A lottery ticket worth $42,000 was sold in North Fort Myers, Florida, but no one has come forward to claim it — and time is running out

The Fantasy 5 ticket won the top prize in an afternoon drawing on March 20, Florida lottery officials said in a news release September 13. of Florida.

Winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize. That means the ticket holder has until Saturday, September 16 at midnight to claim their winnings, according to the release.

As of the afternoon of Sept. 14, no one has come forward with the ticket, a Florida Lottery spokesperson told McClatchy News.

The winning numbers in the drawing were 05 – 06 – 19 – 23 – 28.

“While any Florida Lottery retailer can validate the winning ticket, the FANTASY 5 top prize must be claimed at a Florida Lottery District Office,” officials shared in the release.

Fantasy 5 players can win the top prize by matching five of the five winning numbers in any order, according to the Florida Lottery site.

“Additionally, players win cash prizes or a free Quick Pick ticket by matching two, three or four of the numbers drawn in the official drawing for the date played,” officials said.

The March 20 winning ticket appears to be a free Quick Pick, according to a drawing record.
