The school shared an update on Sunday, saying it expects Hardamon to be released from the hospital soon.

Hardamon was injured while attacking tight end Colston Loveland in the third quarter of Victory for No. 2 Michigan 31-6.

“I saw the hit and knew right then and there that something was wrong,” Falcons coach Scot Loeffler said Saturday night.

Hardamon, who is from Beavercreek, Ohio, had three tackles against the Wolverines and had at least 25 tackles in each of the previous two seasons. He has earned academic All-Mid-American Conference honors twice.
