Cleveland Cavaliers president of basketball operations Koby Altman was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and violating marked lanes at 8:53 p.m. ET Friday in Cleveland, the Highway Patrol confirmed. Ohio State on Saturday. Fox 8 first reported the news.
Officers initiated the traffic stop on State Route 2 and observed indicators of impairment, the highway patrol said. Altman, who turned 41 on Saturday, was offered a breathalyzer test, but he declined. The highway patrol noted that Altman was “respectful and cooperative with troopers” throughout the traffic stop.
The Athletic has reached out to the team for comment.
Altman joined Cleveland’s front office in 2012 and was named general manager in 2017, winning a championship with the club in 2016.
