The new Utah Jazz jerseys are a beauty.
It is very clear and easy to see that the NBA makes uniforms better than anyone else. They have always been at the forefront of the fashion conversation in sports, and because of that, the love affair with basketball shoes, uniforms, and other assorted products has been a big driving component of the league. And few teams do it better than the Utah Jazz
No longer limited to just home and away colors, most, if not all, teams will release five jerseys next season; named Association (standard home), Icon (standard away), statement (alternative), classic (throwback to an older style), and city (limited time use). And through this new five-tier system, the Jazz have created some of the best-looking jerseys we’ve ever seen.
And in 2023-2024, that will not change. While we saw a hint of this last year, and while the City jerseys have yet to be officially unveiled, we now know what the new City jerseys will look like for the Jazz and they are incredible.
In the tweet above, you can see that the city edition jersey is a version of the iconic 1990s jersey that the Jazz wore during their back-to-back appearances in the NBA Finals. The big difference, however, is the change of colors.
The original version of the jerseys had what appeared to be orange in the shadow of the team name, and a similar color outlining the numbers that were usually near the player’s left hip. These new jerseys feature grays and purples primarily, with the “Utah” portion outlined in white and the numbers simply white.
The iconic mountain logo appears a little higher on the chest, smaller, allowing the numbers to be higher than the original but still in a similar space.
They look great and are a perfect reflection of “old meets new.”
