Terron Armstead sheds jersey without contact at Dolphins practice

Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead did not play in the team’s season-opening victory over the Chargers, but appears to be progressing toward a return to the lineup.

Armstead participated in Wednesday’s practice as a limited participant and wore a red non-contact jersey for that workout. Armstead was wearing a regular jersey Thursday and said he feels like he’s getting closer to a full return to action.

“We are working to try to prepare, be healthy and get closer to going out again there full time,” Armstead said, via Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Mail.

Armstead is listed with ankle, back and knee injuries and said it has been a “combination” of issues that have prevented him from taking his place on the field. If he continues to progress during Friday’s practice, Armstead could make his 2023 debut against the Patriots this weekend.
