Toronto Raptors fan survey: Have your say on issues surrounding the team

Based on conversations I’ve had, it’s been a long time since there was this level of fear heading into a Raptors season.

There is certainly a feeling of unease. Between the loss of Fred VanVleet in free agency, the upcoming free agency of Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby and first-time head coach Gary Trent Jr. and the lawsuit filed against them, the Raptors feel in a precarious situation . right now. After last year’s disappointing regular season and embarrassing loss in the Play-In tournament, it’s hard to know what the plan is with this team.

Although that is just anecdotal. Maybe Darko Rajaković will be the next great young head coach. Maybe Scottie Barnes, with the ball in his hands more often, can transform the Raptors. Perhaps a full year with Jakob Poeltl means the Raptors will perform defensively from the start.
